HHF - Women & LGBTQIA+ Initiative Other
On International Women's Day 2022, Harold Hunter Foundation (HHF) launched a formal initiative to provide support and advocacy to NYC skateboarders who identify as women and/or LGBTQIA+. Through a series of workshops, meetups, and events, we hope to build bridges and cultivate community around gender diversity in skateboarding in NYC and beyond.
In addition to HHF supporting community events led by women and/or LGBTQIA+ skaters, HHF Coach and community organizer Jae Cooper will also host monthly skate meetups and community conversations for women and/or LGBTQIA+ identifying skateboarders. Subscribe to this program's meetup calendar and follow HHF on Instagram for more information on events and opportunities for women & LGBTQIA+ skaters in NYC!
Note: Although most HHF programs and events are open to people of all identities, we respectfully ask that you register for this program only if you identify as a woman and/or LGBTQIA+ person.
